March 3, 2023, 11:59 pm PST – Applications are due to the Choices Program.
Note: The application deadline has passed.
April 3, 2023 – Notification of selection. Everyone who applies will be notified of being accepted, waitlisted, or declined.
April 14, 2023 – Selected participants must notify the Choices Program of their commitment to the Institute.
July 10-14, 2023 – American Soldiers in American Wars Institute at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
July 17, 2023 – Implementation Plans are due.
September 2023 – Choices Program follows up with Institute participants via small group online meetings to provide any needed additional support for putting implementation plans into action. Dates to be set by participants.
October 16, 2023 – Choices Program disseminates on its website: the Institute reading list and schedule; materials used for practicum sessions; and participants’ implementation plans.
December 11, 2023 – Choices Program completes editing of the presenters’ presentations and posts them on the Institute website.
June 2024 – Participants complete a final Choices Program survey about the Institute.
September 30, 2024 – Project Director Shibusawa completes a white paper that reflects on the Institute. Excerpts are posted on Institute website.
