Students examine the causes and effects of global warming and delve into questions of who is most responsible for and vulnerable to the changing climate. Students also grapple with how to respond to climate change in ways that are both effective and fair.

The session provides a short introduction to the Choices unit, Climate Change and Questions of Justice. Participants will conduct activities from the unit and will discuss ways to implement the unit and accompanying videos into their classroom.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The session is open to all middle and high school teachers, but is especially appropriate for those new to the Choices Program.
Mimi is the Director of Sales and Professional Development for the Choices Program. Prior to joining the Choices Program in 2011, Mimi worked at Clark University where she served as the Director of the Teacher Center for Global Studies supporting K12 social studies teachers throughout Massachusetts for more than 20 years. Mimi holds a Masters in International Development and Social Change from Clark University.
