Join the Choices Program at Geofest! During this hands-on workshop participants will experience lessons and a role play activity from the Choices Climate Change and Questions of Justice unit (provided). Activities are designed to:

BUILD students’ critical thinking and analysis skills;
SUPPORT students in articulating their own perspectives;
EMPOWER students to make the changes they want regarding climate change.

The workshop will be facilitated by Melinda Gale, who is a Portland Public Schools teacher and a Choices Program Teaching Fellow.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

All participants receive a print format AND a one-year license for our Digital Editions format of the Choices Climate Change and Questions of Justice curriculum unit, lunch, access to all afternoon Geofest sessions, and PDUs.

Pre-registration is required.

Early registration is advised.

This interactive workshop is appropriate for middle and high school history, social studies, and humanities teachers, including AP and IB educators.
