Students consider the perspectives of various stakeholders—colonists, enslaved Africans, and Native peoples—and explore the factors that led to rebellion, war, and the independence of the U.S.
Revolutions in the World History Classroom
The Choices Program offers several curriculum units on revolutions across time and location. These two webinars (August 1 and August 8) will provide a brief overview of each unit to help teachers understand the approach, coverage, and lesson plans provided. We’ll also highlight common skills and themes that are found throughout the units.
Part I (August 1): the American, French, and Haitian Revolutions
Part II (August 8): Iranian Revolution and Russian Revolution
Your registration covers both sessions. You can attend one or both sessions.
Note that these webinars will begin at 4:30 pm ET.
These are free webinars. Each participant will receive a one-year Digital Editions license to the Revolution unit of their choice. Participants will also receive a one-time offer to receive 15 percent off the purchase of an additional Revolution unit of their choice. This offer will be valid until February 1, 2025.
These webinars are open to all.
