The session provides an introduction to the Choices approach for teaching about the problem of Genocide. Participants will conduct activities from the Choices unit on Genocide (provided) and will discuss ways to implement the unit and accompanying videos in their classroom.

All participants receive a copy of the Choices curriculum unit Confronting Genocide: Never Again, and access to the videos.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The session is appropriate for educators who teach middle school through college.
Mimi is the Director of Sales and Professional Development for the Choices Program. Prior to joining the Choices Program in 2011, Mimi worked at Clark University where she served as the Director of the Teacher Center for Global Studies supporting K12 social studies teachers throughout Massachusetts for more than 20 years. Mimi holds a Masters in International Development and Social Change from Clark University.
