Join the Choices Program in San Francisco for the California Council for the Social Studies conference! This session introduces teachers to the student readings, videos, and innovative lessons found in the Choices Program’s curriculum Racial Slavery in the Americas: Resistance, Freedom, and Legacies. The curriculum is appropriate for use in World History and U.S. History courses.

You must be registered for the CCSS conference to attend this session.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

A one-year Digital Editions license to Racial Slavery in the Americas: Resistance, Freedom, and Legacies will be provided to those who attend the session.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Any secondary or college level educator who teaches about slavery and its legacies is welcome to attend. We especially invite teachers who are not familiar with the Choices Program to join us!

Mimi Stephens

Choices Director of Sales and Professional Development
Mimi is the Director of Sales and Professional Development for the Choices Program. Prior to joining the Choices Program in 2011, Mimi worked at Clark University where she served as the Director of the Teacher Center for Global Studies supporting K12 social studies teachers throughout Massachusetts for more than 20 years. Mimi holds a Masters in International Development and Social Change from Clark University.
